I live in Virginia Beach, VA and currently work for SpinSix Strategic Marketing and Design as a Graphic Desiger. Creating clean, streamlined, easy-to-use and forward-thinking Web sites is my chief focus. I’ve held positions with Dominion Enterprises, CACI and Dollar Tree Inc., all revolving around aspects of design, ranging from Mechanical to Print to Interactive Designs.I’ve been working in and with design for 10 years.

My design philosophy is as follows: Excellent design is a language. The challenge/passion is to take that language and translate it to its different components, whether it be print, web, or interactive. If one refuses to learn the basics of the language, fluency can never be achieved. One must not be afraid to ask questions in order to get a clear concept of the goal. Stand behind design ideas, but do not be inflexible to changes, suggestions or critiques, because at the end of the day, someone else has to be happy with it.

In my non-working hours, I find I have a strong desire to create and make things. I dabble in knitting, photography, painting, drawing, sewing, and other general crafty things, but am master of none. I try not to take myself too seriously and get the most enjoyment out of spending time with friends and family.
